He doesn't know the full artists name but the painting is called "Old Fairfax Courthouse" done in watercolor. The artists last name is Strickland. He doesn't have a first name but is looking for permission to use it in his upcoming book. The back of the painting lists contact information as "ten penny studio". If anybody would have any information on this artist or how to contact them for permissions, please let me know! My grandfather has written many books on the history of Fairfax city and county.
