Sarah Acconcia has made a name for herself in Baltimore's restaurant scene. She was named Baltimore City Paper's Best Chef 2014 and appeared on the Food Network TV show, "Beat Bobby Flay" in May 2015.
During her career, she has held the position of Executive Chef at Bookmaker's Cocktail Club, Executive Chef at Le Garage, Executive Chef of 13.5% Wine Bar, Sous Chef at the popular Lauraville restaurant Maggie’s Farm, and wood oven cook at the award-winning Woodberry Kitchen.
Sarah has completed many successful stages including Tru and Alinea in Chicago and Jose Andres’ Jaleo in Washington D.C.
The versatile chef is a 2007 graduate of the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) where she earned her bachelor of fine arts in sculpture and printmaking. Sarah was born in New York City and, as the child of a Foreign Service Officer, lived in Bucharest, Romania; Hamburg, Germany and Croughton, England, before the family settled in northern Virginia. During her time at MICA, she fell in love with Baltimore and made it her home.
