  My sweet bebe is home after 4 long days. He got a warm bath and lovins. But he won't eat or drink. His hair is falling out by the touch. He's limping and yelping but I don't see any gashes, marks, or thorns. I made a pallet in our bedroom so he could get some good sleep, and he's compulsively shaking. I'm taking him to the vet to get him checked out either tomorrow or Tuesday judging on how he's doing but I can't afford a vet that's gonna charge thousands to get him looked at. Any good references on a vet clinic that can help?

  I agree with getting him into the vet asap. We're seeing a rise in raccoons with distemper, and it is not unusual for a raccoon to become aggressive and bite. It can take several days for the signs of a bite to appear (swelling, redness, infection) and by then, the animal is really, really sick.
