Can a hotel who rents out a ballroom space to your client who then hired you (last minute! only a week prior to event) to provide entertainment (no fire, just LED's and stilt walkers) demand an insurance certificate from you 2 days before the gig? I didn't sign a contract with them and it wasn't mentioned in the one I sent & had signed plus as you all know I don't carry "business" or "troupe" coverage only myself as a fire performer. I need a major contract revamp overhaul! Recommendation on lawyers that don't cost more than I make all year? My insurance won't consider it lost or stolen funds.
