  Need Advice! $800 - Wrangell, AK (99999) So if someone is living in a bad condition home. As a renter. The land lord doesn't want to help. There is mold. The carpet is horrible. The bathroom is falling apart. This place is non livable. What can someone do? This is for a friend of mine. Watching them struggle with the situation is very hard on me and my family. We are wanting to help. I'm just curious if there is anything legally she can do. Or I can even help her with. Let me know, what you think. Moving out is not an option as for now, because of money. She has children. Low rent and great location close to schools.

  Any and all issues must be submitted I writing to the landlord and sent Certified Return Receipt mail first and foremost then report mold issue to Health Department (make sure to take pictures as proof), you can also call Northwest Justice Project as they deal with these types of matters and they are for low income families. They are free lawyers. You must call the CLEAR hotline for an intake first at 1-888-201-1014 Monday through Friday 9:15 am to 12:15 pm

  It's called Kitsap Legal Services....and to get an appointment for family law, your income must fall at or below 200% of the federal income level. NW Justice projects CLEAR line will screen you and refer you to get an appointment with Kitsap Legal Services, or if you have a priority case, you will talk to a lawyer at CLEAR who will advise you. CLEARs number is 1-888-201-1014 between the hours of 9:15 am and 12:15 pm, Monday through Friday. Kitsap Legal Service number is 360-479-6125. You can also go online to nwjustice.org and click "get legal help". You will have to fill out an online form and they will contact you back or direct you to call them at the above number.

  CLEAR is open Monday thru Thursday from 9 am -12 am there will be a long wait time, but it is worth the wait! They can also hook you up with Northwest Justice Project and get you free court papers and legal advice.
