  Hi all, We are looking to do a total gut renovation of our house and are currently deciding whether to go with a design and build service or find our own architect and builder. Has anyone in the area done a similar thing and could recommend a great but competitive deisgn company or a really amazing architect/builder? Thanks

  You might want to check out www.octopi.co.uk . As well as living in the area for 10 years, the directors have got to know the planning regs around here pretty well, they gutted and re-did our house and a couple of others around here of various sizes.
