About us

Started by a local mom-daughter duo, this non-profit is now run by a volunteer 7 member steering committee. Our goal is to provide local hungry with a steady supply of food year round. We collect food every other month from donors' doorsteps and deliver it to local food banks. We also stock "mini food closets" called Red Bag Pantries throughout town. We have partnered with other local organizations such as The Salvation Army, Food to Go, Anacortes Family Center, Anacortes Police Department, Anacortes Fire Deparment, Anacortes Senior Activity Center, Cap Sante High School, Anacortes Public Library, and Island Hospital to get food into the hands of those who need it the most. All food collected stays local, supporting Anacortes and La Conner. We have over 100 volunteers that help with pick ups and food processing.
