  I'm looking for a new dentist. I've looked at some of the suggestions made on here before, but I have a couple specific questions about recommendations. I believe the hygienist is just as important, or more important, than the dentist. Do you go to a dentist in the hood where you like the hygienist, she (or he) does a good job, and you get the same hygienist most times you visit? Another question is, has anyone gone to a new dentist in the area who has not made them book a second appt for the cleaning? Meaning they did the new patient stuff PLUS the first cleaning in the same visit? Thanks all.

  I second Amy Hosking's recommendation of Dr. Hodzic. I've been going to Nina for ten years. She is a great dentist and she does cleanings, too. I've also had cleanings done by Marika, her on-staff hygienist and general assistant, and I've been just as impressed.
