About us
Raised in northern Massachusetts, Leighton first became interested in real estate through studying an architecture lecture series in high school. He quickly began learning as much as he could about the field by attending multiple open houses each weekend, and pursuing a position as an Office Administrator at the highest-producing firm in the county. Over the course of the 3 years he spent at the office, he built strong relationships with the agents and had the opportunity to intern with one who taught him the ropes. At the age of 19, Leighton earned a scholarship to get his Virginia Real Estate license, and passed at the top of his class. In late December of 2013, Leighton joined the McDowell Team where he serves as a Buyer’s Agent and Short Sale Specialist. His love of the industry, desire to help others achieve their goals, and continuous interest in adventure and exploration have allowed him to offer clients a memorable experience which they will always remember.
