Welcome to K9 FUNdamentals Limited.
Based on Auckland’s North Shore, we provide expert behaviour training and walking services for your dog. We pride ourselves on providing force free training and dog walking using positive reinforcement to help your dog learn.
It takes a lot of time and energy to have a dog as part of the family. Fitting in work, the kids after school activities, gym, weekend sport, social events with friends or family and a multitude of other things into your busy life is hard enough. So when it comes to trying to find time to train your dog and provide them with their much needed daily exercise, it’s understandable that sometimes your dog misses out.
We recognise that you want the best for your dog and that work and life-in-general can get sometimes get in the way. And that’s where K9 FUNdamentals step in and removes that stress from your daily routine.
We offer a range of training and walking services to help both you and your dog stay happy.
TRAINING:
K9 FUNdamentals can help you by offering training using positive reinforcement and reducing the unwanted behaviour your dog is showing.
Our initial consultation takes approximately an hour. What we will cover off is:
• Discuss with you the issues you would like addressed
• We will conduct an observational assessment
• From there we’ll work out an initial plan for training your dog

WALKING:
K9 FUNdamentals believe all dogs should have a healthy mix of exercise and fun. Spending quality time with your dog is important to us. This is why we focus on walking one-on-one dog walking. We don’t offer group dog walks as we specialise in providing your pooch with our full attention and providing them with the exercise type they need. By spending quality time with your dog ensures they get to know and trust us, and we get to understand their individual... show more needs and little quirks.
Don’t worry about missing out on the fun and adventure your dog gets up to. We keep you up to date by inviting you to join a Facebook group where we post pictures of their walks and play.

I often help people with their dogs before puppy class time (ie house set up, crating, toileting); and then help again after puppy class time (ie reinforce learnings, loose lead walking etc). She has a reasonable grasp of basic commands but is spoilt by my partner and can be quite naughty. She gets over excited, barks a lot and jumps up on people. We're at the point where my partners mum won't come to visit anymore because she hates Misty jumping on her. We've also just moved to a new property where the neighbours go past our door to get to theirs so Misty's barking has increased. I don't want the neighbours complaining or worse, the landlord asking us to leave because of it. Can anyone recommend some good training for her? We're based in Glenfield but can travel.
