Vertical gardening... SO, in the new house, we have a large lot. Okay, that's an understatement. We have .42 acres. The footprint of the house is about 2000 +/- sq ft.
That means I have about 16,000 square feet of gardenable space. But I don't want to just have stuff growing EVERYWHERE. I'd like to organize it. There are already some fruit trees on the property, but I'm looking for ways to maximize my garden bed space to get the most food per acre. Like, can I grow shade-tolerant or cool-loving stuff (leaf lettuce) under an arbor/trellis that has beans on it? That kind of thing. Will take any and all suggestions.
