About us
Income tax preparation has been my profession since 2002. In 2008, the IRS issued me a license to be an Enrolled Agent. Now most people have never heard of Enrolled Agent and don't have a clue about what it is. In short, an Enrolled Agent is licensed by the Department of Treasury to practice before the Internal Revenue Service. I represent taxpayers, not the IRS. I have represented many taxpayers since 2008. I can't guarantee results, only that I will do the very best I can to help the client.
The IRS accepted my application to be a Certifying Acceptance Agent (CAA) in 2015. A CAA is authorized by agreement with the IRS to certify the authenticity of identification documents for those who are applying for an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN). Under the agreement, I can assist and submit applications for primary and spousal ITIN's without sending the client's original documents to the IRS. They still require the original documents for dependents. The benefit to clients is that I am the liaison between the IRS and the client throughout the process which can sometimes take 4-8 weeks and can be a bit complicated at times.
I have taught both basic and advanced tax courses to tax preparers and those who wish to become tax preparers. In 2009 I passed a course of study through a proprietary academy to become a Certified Master Instructor. I have also worked as an independent contractor for a national professional testing company drafting and reviewing test questions for the Special Enrolled Agent Exam and the Registered Tax Preparer Exam.
