Lauren T. asked:Need advice: so we ordered a dishwasher from Lowes. Paid for delivery & installation. The plumbing company that lowes contracts out to came to deliver & before they could install, he said he needed to check the water pressure, that it couldn't be over 100. So he checked in 3 places & it was over 100 in all 3 places. (120, 115, 110) So he said he could not install. We will need a pressure reducing valve to be installed on our main water line. The price quoted was $375. So, my questions are 1) does anyone know if this is normal - like if I had bought a dishwasher from anywhere else would they do the same thing? 2) Any recommendations on a good plumber who won't charge an arm & a leg? 3) What is the risk if we don't install this? This price is MORE than we actually paid for the stupid dishwasher & we can't pay that.
