About us
Just your local Melbourne guy who takes photos. Yes, I am "that guy".
That Guy's Photos was set up by Jonathan Lim on the 18th of August 2016 following his first job as a Function Event Photographer. Having recently graduated Secondary School in the year prior (2015) he was known to his friends as "That Guy" who always had a camera with him - due to his love for photography. At the time Jonathan had only experience in snapshots from taking family holiday photos and Cosplay Photography from attending conventions for the past two years.
In the following four months, Jonathan branched out from Cosplay Photography and completed work for 13 clients. He now specialises in a range of Traditional Portraiture and Function Event Photography Services, with parties being his major activities. Currently Jonathan is studying the Bachalor of Creative Arts (Photography) at Deakin University and wishes to continue his photographic endevous at the completion of his studies.
I also have "those guys" who assist me from time to time:
- Jake J (Photog and Editor)
- Mara S (Lighting Assistant and Admin Support)

Meg H. asked:Hi friends, I'm a photographer but I'm looking for someone to cover my boyfriend's 21st, inner Melbourne Suburbs (probably Brunswick) cause I want to be in some of the photos! His budget is $350 but I know that pricing is for the photographer to quote not the customer to dictate. So I just want some event photographers links within that range so I can have a look, see what is out there, and get some quotes. Basically looking for some inspiration and work to look at.
