Affordable orthodontics?? Hello, my family lives in the area and has been having a hard time finding an orthodontist offering affordable braces for my teenage brother, anyone have recommendations? So far they have gotten quotes of up to $7,000 which seem a bit high. This would all be out of pocket. Thanks in advance.

Check out https://smiledirectclub.com/ Side note: founders are all from Detroit, now based in Nashville.
Orthodontist recommendations? I'm considering straightening my teeth, and I'll like some leads to which dentists I should check out! I'm based in SF, but commute to San Mateo often.

Have you considered [https://smiledirectclub.com](https://smiledirectclub.com)?
Can anyone tell me if medi-cal pays for braces? And if it doesnt can anyone give me any recommendations for a good cheap place that has payment plans

Look up smiledirectclub.com they are basically a "generic" version of Invisalign. About $80 a month, $250 down. If you have an FSA you can you it to pay monthly.
Orthodontist Recommendations? I searched the post history and couldn't find anything about this. I'm looking for recommendations for an orthodontist. I prefer in Madison but I'll take Huntsville if they're good. I'd like someone who won't rush me through appointments and is very thorough.
My plan is to get braces and relive my awkward middle school years. And to have straight teeth.

FWIW, I just got started with https://smiledirectclub.com/ It's Invisalign without the price tag. It's about 1/3 of the prices quoted to me by orthodontists in the area. There is a touch of DIY to it (you make your impressions at home, might have to file some aligners to make them smooth against your gums) -- but the price difference makes the effort worth it to me. I can give you a referral code that will save you a little cash up front if you're interested. Note, this is only a good option for lesser problems (crowding and such). If you have significant bite problems, you need traditional braces and an ortho.
