  Last Sunday morning I walked out my front door and was surprised to find a large duck laying eggs in a huge potted plant that sits beside my door. Since then I've been using my garage for safety and to not disturb the duck in case it had returned. Around 1:00 this afternoon I walked out of my garage to check my mail and then slowly walked up my short walkway to check on the eggs and had the scare of my life! First I saw that all the eggs were cracked on the ground around my door mat and then I realized there was a raccoon jumping out of the pot and coming toward me. I literally ran back into the garage and closed the door! Any suggestions on what I can do to perhaps set a humane trap and get rid of the raccoon? I called my HOA and they said there was nothing they can do for me. It's one thing to see a raccoon running across the street late at night, but seeing it on my front door step in the middle of the day is pretty frightening to me! TIA!!
