I could use some wisdom of the masses: first floor toilet wouldn't stop draining. Few friends couldn't figure it out. I had Scottish Plumber by yesterday, they said fill valve had to be replaced. $235, about 15, 20 minutes at most of work.
Today, the water line to the toilet is dead. Won't turn on, so toilet won't fill.
1) Does that price seem reasonable? I didn't do enough research beforehand, but now that I've done more, I'm feeling like we got ripped off.
2) Does the water line thing seem normal? Are we getting scammed or something?
3) If that price *is* a rip off, does anyone have a quality and more reputable handyman or plumber they could recommend? I'll give you whatever referral you need.
