You've bought a nice new mixer tap for your kitchen sink. It looks great, but how on earth do you fit it? Answer, you get a plumber! He does this sort of thing all the time, he has the tools and the experience to do the job quickly and economically.
It's the same if you toilet won't flush or overfills, or if you have a dripping tap that you can't cure, or there's a damp patch on the ceiling beneath the bathroom, or a leak in the airing cupboard and you can't see where the water's coming from, or a radiator with a leaky valve. At a time like this you need a plumber who you can trust.
Not all plumbing jobs are urgent, of course. You may want a dishwasher or washing machine plumbed in, or an outside tap fitted. You may want to re-do the bathroom and get rid of that old avocado coloured bath, basin and WC. You may have a room that is cold because the radiator isn't up to the job. A plumber will advise on the size and output of radiator needed for the room, and he'll fit it where you want it. He'll advise on things that you may not know exist, but which can save you serious money, like a magnetic filter for the heating system.
Dear BS3 folk, could anyone recommend a good plumber please?

If you just need a water plumber, rather than a gas one, I highly recommend John 07900 582817. Sorted out a bathroom drip for me this week really efficiently. Very nice chap too.
