Michael Bowling is looking for a specific article. Can anyone help?
From his e-mail to the Arabian Preservation e-mail group:
"Does anyone else know where to find an article in one of the old general horseman magazines (I'm pretty sure, but not certain, that it was Western Horseman) about the tradition in Oregon that they had a local population of using horses that descended from the time *Astraled spent there owned by the Rev. Thos. Ewing Sherman, before he gave the horse to the Remount?
It seems to me this came up in the 80s when we were working on an Oregon Symposium, but it was published before that--apparently later than my magazine collection reaches.
Thanks for any help--
Michael"
