  Hello everyone.....i need information about school in the Chattanooga and hixson area...we are relocating there next year i have 2 sons that are on the spectrum...one is nonverbal and the other one is verbal but self harm himself...they are 6 and 8 years old...looking for elementary schools any suggestions on schools in the area....i want both of them to be able to attend the same school is this possible to find a school in this area....also any behavioral doctors and behavioral services names also thank you and be blessed!

  You don't say what age your children are. That will help folks answer about schools. A year ago we found a wonderful pediatrician that understands our kids as well as we do. His name is Chris Walls - 423-661-3600. He is on the other side of Chattanooga in the Brainerd area but I would drive to Atlanta to see him. Great psychologist who treats a large number of children with autism and is very good: Ken Pittman - (423) 443-3336 The Autism Center has ABA therapists that are good.

He was seeing dr Jennings who was downsizing and referred him to dr Simms who will not take him. Dr Jennings then recommended dr gilson . Does anyone know anything about him or can suggest a psychiatrist who specializes in autism spectrum disorders?
