Recommendations for lunch in the River Market, or surrounding area(s)? Headed to Carollo's to pick up a few things tomorrow and would like to try a new place. (Yes, I know Carollo's has wonderful sandwiches.

Beignet-It is right next door to Corollo’s. And don’t forget some baked goodies from Bloom Bakery on the other side of Corollo’s.
This is my first post asking about restaurants. I spent a lot of time traveling in the Southern United States and grew to really like the Cajun and Creole food. I finally found a place up here that I liked but it closed earlier this year. Anybody have any suggestions on where to go around K.C. to find Cajun or Creole food. Please don't say Jazz. I've been there a few times and the one here is very hit & miss. I've actually had better luck at the Jazz in Columbia.

My family is Cajun, and the best I've found is Boudreaux's in St. Joe! I thought Beignet was just OK!

I don't know if I like the other food (didn't really like what I ate), but I love the traditional beignets.
