We've moved here 4 years ago and I have noticed the lack of specialty local seafood restaurants in Seattle area. We have Dungeness crab, salmon, smelt, razor clams, penn cove mussels, spotted shrimp, on and on. But can anyone tell me if there is any small place that cooks only local varieties of seafood "in season"?
If you go to Japan for example, they are very big on seasonal seafood and every region is very big on how the local seafood is great tasting during the season.
Yes, a lot of restaurants have salmon, mussels and oysters on their menus, but I want to find a place where I can go to eat local caught seafood in season. The three that I struggle to find are spotted shrimps, razor clams and Crab.
Any idea if such a place exist?
