Does anyone know of an attorney that handles rental cases? We moved into a house a month ago and there have been several things wrong. The toilet upstairs was leaking down into the floorboards and through the garage causing puddles in the garage. The landlord claimed to know nothing about it. Yet, when we moved in the water was shut off in the bathroom upstairs. There was water damage. The hot water heater keeps shutting off and we have to press the reset button everyday. He had the toilet fixed after having 2 different people come over here. One was a handy man that didn't know what he was doing, the other he finally called an actual plumber out here. So the toilet is finally fixed, but I'm worried that the floor is not stable in the bathroom and it will fall in. The other thing is my son went to press the reset button on the water heater and it electrocuted him. I called the landlord and cussed him out. Told him he needs to have someone out here tomorrow morning to replace it. He has told me over and over again that he's trying to get someone to install a new one that he bought but it has yet to be done. I am so furious right now I can't see straight. I shouldn't have sent my son to reset the button, but I shouldn't have to do it in the first place. Do I have any legal rights here?
