  I recommend this: contact HSDC (Hearing, Speech@Deafness Center in Seattle and get in touch with a director that helps enroll deaf toddlers in PIP (Parent Infant Program). They take toddlers from ages 2 1/2-5 to help teach Sign Language, interact with other deaf toddlers, and meet other parents for support and resources. The website is www.hsdc.org then look for pip link..then it should show who to contact. HSDC is like a pit stop where you can ask for resources and referral to different services for deaf babies, children, teenagers, adults and senior citizens. I used to work there. Amazing place to gather info and resources! :-)

I have a potential student who is deaf and wants to know if I can provide an interpreter. In my two+ years of teaching this is the first time I've had this request. Does anyone know of any sign language interpreter services, or someone who might be able to volunteer? My business is a micro-business, so I don't have many resources at my disposal.   Lifeprint.com has online classes from beginning to advanced. He also shows the variations for signs. Might be a good beginner thing to do until you can find some classes. I'll ask my ASL teacher se if she has any suggestions too You might check with Children's Hospital, and the Seattle hearing and deafness center. Their website is http://www.hsdc.org/
