  I believe the closest one to South Lyon is the Huron Valley Humane Society on Cherry Hill. you just go up Dixboro Road to Plymouth Road and go left and then go up to the Dixboro store on the right and Cherry Hill only goes to your right there and you go to your right. I have the phone number I will look it up and then post it. 1-734-662-5585 - I believe they do pitbulls for free here too or cheaper. but not sure if you have to live in Washtenaw County or not to go here.
