She does receive housing benefit but has rented for the last 6 months and always been on time with rent/early and also has a guarantor. The problem we are having is finding an agent/landlord that will accept her on housing benefit. Does anyone have any reccomendations or insider knowledge that can be passed on please.   There is help available and they may be in priority need. Citizen's advice at Folkestone has a dedicated housing team. Their next drop in on Monday at 09.30 and you need to be there at opening. www.shelter.org.uk have a free helpline.   Looking for some advice for friends of mine. They have been privately Renting a property for a few years and had numerous problems with the house in particular with damp and mould! They have decided to just leave as they are getting no where with the landlord. They have put the required notice in and have been advised by the landlord that they will have to wait 10 day to get the bond back after a suitable inspection. Surely this can't be right?? They have also be advised to clean all the mould down. Is this right? Any advice greatly appreciated.
