  I needed to find a notary when my UK bank wouldn't accept a stamp from a SA commissioner of oaths and specified that I must use a notary. Most (but not all) attorneys are notaries. It is just a case of an attorney sitting another exam to become a notary. The only difference I found is a commissioner of oaths cannot charge you for authenticating a copy but a notary can!
