  Hi everyone, thank you for adding me to this group. I received my card and official PMTA map last week, it's great! My cousin Jack Spalding and I are planning to thru hike the trail starting at the country store on Wednesday morning and concluding Friday morning at the TV tower. I received my official PMTA map last week, it's great! We are very glad the burn ban has been lifted, because forecast is calling for below freezing on Thursday night. We will be sure to share some good pictures. If anyone has any specific questions about any part of the trail, let us know and we can check it out and report back for y'all (water sources, campsites, etc.). A couple of questions - first, what are the best campsites? We would like to stay at either Big Knot, Jenkins Spring, or Beech Bottom the first night and either Old Sawmill or Bumblee Ridge the second night. From the website descriptions I am thinking Big Knot and Old Sawmill would be great, but we'd love any feedback y'all might have about the best sites to try for. Another question - we are trying to avoid taking two cars. Does anyone know of any sort of shuttle service or taxi we could take from the TV tower to country store on either Wednesday or Friday morning? Does the state park run anything like this? What are the hitchhiking prospects? Alternatively, if it's not too inconvenient, would anyone here be willing to give us a lift either on Wednesday or Friday morning from TV tower to country store? We will compensate for gas and time. Thanks, looking forward to our first trip on the PMT! -Charlie
