Only hired him because storm was imminent and I was away and needed my generator working. He didn't even know that the generator could function as a pull start and that the battery (which he said I had to have) was completely optional. Subsequently got it fully repaired for $176 buy Snow's Small Engine Repair in Harwich. Stay away; complete con man. Wish there was an option for negative stars

  Denise S. wrote: Kevin came to my home to fix a Troy-Built Wood Chipper. I became wary of him as he spoke of his "qualification & training" and how good he was with any engine. But, I thought, he's just a braggart with an unending narration of each thing he did and took photos at different stages (like when he found the mice nest). He tried to repair a couple of wires, but I had to supply the electrical tape. He has not stopped talking at this point and was positive it was no problem to start the chipper since he had done his "magic". WRONG. Then he decides it needs a new battery and carburetor which I am to buy. Never has he mentioned price-yes I should have asked up front, but I thought he was diagnosing and then would give me a price to fix it. By that time, all he had done was clean out SOME of the mouse nest and wrapped a couple of wires with my electrical tape. He told me to call him when I had the parts and he'd come right over. That will be $300.00. Then he wrote on the back of his card $300.00 received and $40.00 due when he came back. That was in late March or early April. I called him on April 10, 2018 to let he know I had the parts. I have called repeatedly, gotten all sorts of excuses & many times he said he'd be there and did not show up. This guy is trouble and I am upset with myself that I was sucked in.
