About us
In a location truly fit for a king – on the cusp of always sunny Es Cavallet – and serving cuisine truly fit for a king 365 days a year, it’s no surprise the philosophy behind long-serving Ibiza restaurant La Escollera is that the client is king!
You want it? You got it. Panoramic views across the Mediterranean Sea, multiple shaded wooden-decked terraces, a cool, open plan indoor dining space, tables in the sand, a chill out lounge area, cocktail bar, the friendliest staff and a warm, family-run vibe – and then there’s the food!
Serving up authentic Spanish and Mediterranean-influenced cuisine including fresh seafood and prime cuts of meat, the La Escollera kitchen is open all year round (lunch and dinner in summer, lunch only in winter). Famous for their paellas, choose between mixed, seafood, vegetable, chicken and rabbit or the house specialty, ‘La Escollera’ with lobster.
Highly recommended is the ‘Gallo San Pedro’, John Dory baked in salt and served with Ibicenco-style potatoes, ‘Tigres’ (stuffed mussels) and ‘Boquerones Mami’ (anchovies), all made from original recipes courtesy of owner Daniel Gonzalez’s mother that have stood the test of time – almost 20 years. For the more modern palates, Thai style chicken, duck magret and the newest addition of Californian sushi aim to please.
The perfect space for special events, La Escollera is also available for weddings and private functions for up to 300 people. Picture perfect and a taste sensation!

This place sits on the beach front at Es Cavallet part of a protected area of beach and salt pans. The views across to Formentera is phenomenal. The menu comes on a white board and they have added one in english this year. The staff are most attentive and friendly, efficient without disturbing the overall sense of chilled relaxation. is fresh and high quality, with a good selection for vegetarians. Looks like they have been doing some extensive renovations recently, which have been carried out very subtly. If I could only eat at one place in Ibiza, this would be it.
