Anyone have an ob/gyn they recommend near Greenbelt who is open to alternative medicine and non invasive births, or a good birth center or Midwife?

I had my third child at Bay Area Midwifery (about seven years ago now!), and they were fabulous, just a bit of a drive. Sadly, there aren't as many midwifery-run birth centers as there used to be. http://www.aaphysicians.com/bay-area-midwifery-home

I also used Bay Area Midwifery Center and had a great experience, but they are connected to a hospital so if there's any sort of issue (for me, I was technically overdue and a single sonogram showed I might have been low on amniotic fluid though I wasn't) they have to pass you to the hospital. Special Beginnings Birth and Women's Center isn't connected to a hospital so they try harder to accomplish everything the natural route; have had friends go there and nothing but stellar reviews. I can't rave about the midwives at Bay Area enough, went to them for almost all my pregnancy, they were there every step of the way in the hospital working hard to stick to my birth plan, and great for GYN care when not pregnant/postpartum.
Anyone have great OBGYN, doula, midwife recommendations in the Washington DC metro area? We are in Maryland but willing to travel a little. Thanks ladies. Anonymous #doula, #midwife, #Maryland
