Looking for Good Florida Renters insurance I rent a 3 bedroom house near Orlando Florida. I sublease two bedrooms. I have lived in FL for 3 years and have had trouble finding good renters insurance. Every company I've found will cover things like tornados and volcanos. But wouldn't cover floods, theft, or anything storm related. Basically any circumstance that could happen in Florida. I've also had an insurance company charge my card monthly for almost a year after I moved out because they said I needed proof my lease ended (they had a copy??!). From what I've read good coverage should not be hard to come by for renters, but I have had the opposite experience.
Has anyone in that area had other experiences? What things *should* be covered in my insurance? And is it better to shop online or go to an actual store front? Really any advice about renters insurance would be appreciated.
Edit:
Also, what's considered an "act of God" when referring to an insurance policy?

Basically all renters policies cover theft and pretty much none of them cover flood. If you live near the coast you may have trouble getting coverage for wind, hail, and hurricane as well. The term "act of god" is an outdated term used to describe weather and other natural events outside human control, most modern insurance policies use more specific language. Citizens Property and Casualty Company (www.citizensfla.com) is the property insurer of last resort in FL. If you are unable to find a policy with adequate coverage elsewhere, they can help you.
Anybody in Florida who can recommend companies for homeowners insurance? Looking to shop around .....

We had trouble getting coverage that included hurricanes and flood. We ended up with Citizen's. https://www.citizensfla.com/policyholder/obtaininsurance.cfm
