My journey as an Interior Designer started as a young teen with my mother - a successful, bi-coastal interior designer. She taught me how to really listen to the client’s vision and turn it into a reality.
My mother would often take me and my two sisters around New England auctions, flea markets, and estate sales. It was these trips where I found my passion for "hunting” beautiful objects. I noticed that when people tend to surround themselves with objects that are visually pleasing because it brought serenity and calmness to their daily lives. That's when I knew that interior design inspired me to make people happy.
I was 15-years-old when I took on my first design projects. The challenge at that time was to decorate my girlfriends' bedrooms. From there, I found myself decorating friends' dorm rooms in college. And I find myself doing the same thing today, but for homes and businesses.
When I’m not busy designing, I'm juggling the lives of my three inspiring children - Noah, Emma and Jonah as well as my amazingly supportive husband, Joel. My favorite time with the fam is Sunday mornings when we all get to sleep in and slowly everyone wakes up and ends up snuggling our bed - even our four legged daughter (Bull Mastiff), Sadie.
When we're on-the-go, which is almost all the time, we love exploring flea markets and estate sales in our quest to find “hidden treasures.” We appreciate our gift of traveling and adventures in new places. Wherever we end up, you can be sure that I'll find incredible resources that fit your inspiration, style and function.
For me designing is about spaces that are filled with inspiration, style and function.
I'm looking for an interior designer who doesn't charge an arm and a leg to help me. Can anyone help?

Jodi Mendelsohn - she is on Facebook but not in this group. She was our interior designer. Jmdesignstudios.com is her website. Enjmende@yahoo.com. We live in Woodland Hills but also all her work is on her website. Or her Instagram. She is not crazy pricey. But not cheap. And has an eye that is out of this world. Busy. Bc she's good. You get what you pay for is my motto - you tell her a budget she sticks within that budget. So it depends on what you want to spend.
