  Many of the local attorneys will do at least a free initial consultation. I would recommend just doing a google search for "family law attorney Springfield mo" and just make some calls. ​ Since there has been domestic violence in the relationship, [Legal Services](https://www.lsosm.org/) would be a good option as well. They offer representation at no cost (you still sometimes have to pay court and filing fees) if they are able to take the case. The big things they look for in applicants are financial hardship and history of DV in the relationship.
