SALVA VIDA ("מציל חיים") התחילה כמסעדת פופ אפ בתנועה שיצר השף יובל פכלר. בנובמבר 2016 התמקמה המסעדה במשכן קבע ברחוב הירקון 88, מול חוף הים של תל אביב.
סגנון המטבח של פכלר, שואב השראה מכל המקומות בהם עבד, זיכרונות ילדות, חומרי הגלם הזמינים בעונה ובתמציתיות 'קליפורניה פוגשת את הים התיכון'. התפריט מבוסס על שפע של חומרי גלם טריים ואיכותיים, יצירתיות וצבעוניות רבה בצלחת.
Chef Yuval Fachler studied culinary arts in upstate New York at the Culinary Institute of America. He completed a stage at "Tra Vigne" Restaurant in Napa Valley, California. Then, he spent a year in Italy in a two star Michelin restaurant "La Madonnina del Pescatore". Moving to London, he spent a year at Gordon Ramsay's "Maze". Ultimately, he returned to Israel where he was the Chef at Tapas Ahad h'am and finally, the Chef of Herbert Samuel restaurant.
The "Restaurant in Movement" concept of Salva Vida is an opportunity to break away from the norm and to separate from a market that is oversaturated with a lot of the same. It's an opportunity for Chef Fachler to express himself through cooking while bending the rules and perception as to what a restaurant needs to be. Salva Vida essentially takes over a random location and turns it into a working restaurant. An Al a Carte menu offers an option to pair eat dish with a wine that has been selected by the Chef. The menus are inspired by Chef Fachler's own personal style of cooking, which is a collection of experiences, both professional and personal.
Chef Fachler utilizes his high caliber culinary background to fully embrace everything that he cherishes: food, experience, and hospitality.
