I see a lot of stuff that looks nice from Article and Rove Concepts, but sometimes it's hard to tell if it's just really great photography making something average seem nicer than it is (such is the problem when shopping online!). I would like to spend 2k or less on a sofa or sectional. Looking for something with wooden legs and a microfiber or velvet-y upholstery. NEEDS TO BE COMFY!!! I like a good cushy sofa you can sink into just a bit. Any suggestions on good brands and/or who to avoid?? Thanks!

The article mentions three that get good marks ([Joybird](http://joybird.com), [BenchMade](http://benchmademodern.com/), [Article](http://article.com)). No idea about Rove. Another one that comes to mind is [EQ3](https://www.eq3.com/ca/en). Canada, free shipping to the US. My current sofa is the New Standard by [BluDot](http://bludot.com), which is great, but a little above your stated budget. They have cheaper ones.
