  2nd Question of the day My emergency room doctor prescribed an "addictive" painkiller that I am leaning towards not filling due to the nature of the drug. Even though she only wrote a prescription for 20 pills. My position is with such a high threshold for pain I will stick with just the inflammatory medications and skip the painkillers. Of Course this is only Day 4 of my recovery which is slated to last 4-6 weeks. Thoughts from my medical field people and any other person who has suffered a dislocated kneecap. Thanking you in advance for your advice. Finally I need a recommendation of a good orthopedic surgeon.

  If you drive, I would give Westmed Medical Group...I love the doctors, I rarely have to wait long...you can get blood drawn, vision, hearing, allergy testing all at the same facility. It's in New Rochelle - right across the street from the New Roc parking lot...
