My dog has been having sezuires and has presented to be agressive when he comes out of them. Given he doesnt know where he is, or what happened to him (I've read all about it) BUT I have two options I can try the phenobarbital (which I cant really afford, plus all the side effects that it can give him) My dog is a 115lb chocolate lab, so I cant afford for him too gain weight nor pay for the blood tests every few months. Plus if he misses a dose it could send him into another one. We are currently living in an RV and I have two kiddos. His sezuires happen at night/early early morning while hes asleep (he now sleeps in a kennel at night) for our safety and peace if mind knowing there is a small barrier between him and us (Even tho it doesnt really give a peace of mind knowing he could have one cause it still scares me) my other option is to try CBD oil (I've heard alot of people mention it, and Ive researched it quite a bit, but it's really hard to find pure CBD for dogs. So my question is does anyone know where I can find some? Im leaning with trying the CBD oil first to avoid the harsh side effects of the phenobarbital, my last option is to euthanize him and it would literally kill me! So if someone could please help or point me in the right direction. The few dispensary that I've called do not carry it.
