  My friends who still live in the area heavily recommend [Article II Range](http://www.article2 range.com/) as both a range and store. It's out of Cook County, so the sales tax won't be as brutal. I usually go to GAT Guns when I'm in the area, which isn't bad, but it can be a touch expensive. I've never used GAT's range, and I've heard mixed reviews.
