About us
Based in the attractive baroque building of 15 Bateman Street in historic Soho, Hambling & Trebble are now one of the very few companies designing and making bespoke jewellery entirely by hand. An extensive network of international contacts enables us to source the fine stones that will help you to mark those special occasions.
After many years’ experience making jewellery for internationally famous jewellery houses, Michael Hambling and Michael Trebble founded Hambling & Trebble in 1991. Through their range of classical diamond, pearl and fine gemstone jewellery, they developed an unrivalled reputation for craftsmanship and knowledge. Mike Trebble tragically passed away in 2010, but the preservation of the companies’ rare skills was assured, when Ben Hambling joined his father as an apprentice goldsmith later that year. It was decided the company would maintain its policy of producing bespoke designs, remodelling and restoring damaged estate jewellery. We also offer a range of finished stock for immediate purchase.
To this end we have developed our services by expanding and introducing new members of staff in the fields of gemmology and design. The workshop is also in the process of expansion.
