  Hi everyone, so next on the to-do list is to install my solar panels - I'm looking for some guidance please. Once installed I will have a three way charging system 1) alternator (only charging when running the engine) 2) solar panels (probably only applicable when it's sunny ????) 3) Stirling inverter / charger (only charging when plugged into shore power) There is a possibility of me running the engine during the day (in sunlight) while being plugged into shore power.   Morning everyone. A close friend of mine has had a bit of an issue with a sale gone wrong on her boat. Long story short she lives in Yorkshire with a young child and needs to cut her losses on her boat. She is giving it away to anyone who can have it signed over to them in the next two days. The boat is moored up in Hayes and harlington. It's a 30 ft grp that needs work. It has a lister engine that was half submerged in water and currently doesn't tick over but a very kind mechanic yesterday said he thought it would be able to get going with some tlc. It's a big old project but used to be a great little boat and could be again! It's got a pump out toilet. Was over plated 5 years ago with a survey from then. Pm for any details or to be put in touch with the owner. Who doesn't want a big old project at this time year hey??? :) happy boating people.

I myself have experienced difficulties while trying to get work done on the cut. If you are a quality, fully insured, tiler, plumber, mechanic, engineer, electrician, stove installer, general boat servicer etc etc etc then please get in touch to see if this idea of mine has any legs. I will only discuss this matter in private and will not get drawn into any trolling so don't bother trying. This is a serious business proposition!!
