  There is a product that is awesome at getting out stains, even old ones -- it's from a web site called MyPetPeed.com It's a bit expensive, but a little goes a long way and it works better than anything else I've ever tried. I just spray it on and let it soak in -- I do not dab any off. I cover it with a paper towel or a paper plate or something, just so no one walks on it, until it dries. Also, if you get on their email list or join their FB page, they let you know about sales every so often, which helps!
