About us
Welcome to Destination Gardens!
We are a local farm just 5 minutes East of Vegreville AB. Offering a large selection of fruits and vegetables, which will be available starting at the beginning of July. As a local farm we strive to provide our communities and your families with healthy, chemical free produce.
Our farm was settled back in 1905 and has remained in the family, with the 5th generation moving back this summer to continue the legacy. We are dedicated to providing our customers with high quality, fresh, local produce grown in a sustainable, and for the most part organic method. The food we provide you is the same that we put on our table.
We are busy in the garden preparing for a busy summer growing local produce to provide you all summer long. Each month from July through October offers a different variety of fruits and vegetables, from peas in July to pumpkins in late September early October. We have all the veggies you would expect with peas, beans, cucumber, zucchini, squash, tomatoes (20 different varieties) and many others. In addition, we are going to try lots of new options to our garden veggies including Okra, Bok Choy, Eggplant, and Brussel Sprouts just to name a few, we are hopeful they will all turn out but know it may take a year or two to perfect these. If you have anything you want us to grow please let us know, we are always up for a challenge (please no lime trees, we are still in Alberta).
Throughout the summer we will be working hard to ensure that you can get all the produce and information about our farm that you can handle, from weekly picking updates, farmers market and market garden news, and even a few healthy recipes. You may even submit your own recipes for all of our Facebook and Twitter followers.
