Vet recommendations for cat tooth extractions? I recently took my two 5-year old cats to the vet, and both are in need of dental extractions due to gingivitis. It seems like this isn't uncommon for cats, and I definitely want to get the surgery done, but the quote my vet gave me seems a bit high (anywhere from $1,200-1,500 for both cats). Has anyone had similar procedures done in the area, or have a good vet that you'd recommend for something like this? It looks to be about 5 teeth total. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I recommend Chittenden Veterinary Clinic (http://chittendenveterinaryclinic.com/). One of my dogs has had several teeth cleanings with extractions over the years. The clinic always does an amazing job with her, and I find the price to be very reasonable. I've been taking my dogs there since I lived on campus 10 years ago and wouldn't go anywhere else. Dr. Weisel is great!
