  Raelee asks: Hi everyone, I wanting to find out if anyone has had experience with pediatric dentists here in Bahrain? My 11 year old daughter has had to have 7 teeth pulled now and not because of decay but unfortunately for her the baby teeth roots are strong and never become loose. The adult teeth usually push up on her baby teeth causing a lot of pain so they have to be pulled. She was always so amazing at the dentist, didn't move and opened up her mouth at request that was until the last time. I took her to a dentist here and again she had to have a tooth pulled however this time it was a horrific experience for her, the tooth was spilt when it was pulled and she screamed with pain. After that she has refused to go back and cries at the thought of having to go to the dentist again. As the new tooth has grown, I think there has been part of the tooth that was broken left in. I am sure the dentists job was not good. It also now looks like there is another tooth to be pulled plus the other piece that has been left in. I have managed to get her to agree to go to a new dentist next week . One that I have researched to be fantastic with children. I do not want her to go through the same thing as last time. My question is has anyone ever asked for their children to be put under general anesthesia to have teeth pulled? Will they consider it here? Is it safe for them? Please if anyone has any experience with this your advice would be appreciated Thanks in advance
