About us
You know how people say the best way to feel happiness is to do something nice for someone else? Well, this thought was the beginning of how Joyful Cleaning began.
In the summer of 2013 I went to my friends home who welcomed me in, pregnant belly and all with her toddler in toe. With cleaning supplies in my arms I told her I was going to clean her house and there was nothing she could do to stop me. Not long after, she became my first client.
In the New Year of 2014 I found myself physically separated from my now ex-husband. With three kids to provide for, without a university degree to fall back on and after having been a stay at home for the past 6 years and as an anglophone, I knew I was quite limited in what I could do for work. To be honest, even if you have these things, Ottawa is a tough market to find work.
I hit the ground running and immediately started looking to take on more cleaning clients. The 2 clients I had quickly grew into 4 and then 8. Over the next two years my Joyful Cleaning clients grew to 25 and I welcomed my first team member.
What started out as a means to survive turned into a full time thriving business and my true passion, Joyful Cleaning.
To me, what I do and now what my business does is far more than just cleaning houses! We get to help families! Whether your family is a family of one, two or a household full of kids, we are so blessed to help you! To me, that is such a special thing and something I am crazy passionate about.
We thrive on our relationships with our clients where we truly become like a friend who cleans your house.
