Newborn and Child Portraits
As a mother of 5 I understand the importance capturing those precious first few days of your baby’s life, with them growing and changing so fast.
Newborn photography is best done within the first 10-12 days while they are still snuggly and sleepy. I recommend securing a booking while still pregnant and confirming your date once your little darling is born.
A newborn portrait session usually takes between 3-4 hours allowing your baby time to feed, be changed, snuggled and comfortable between poses.
Child sessions generally take less time as children tend to be distracted easily so 1-2 hours is usually more than enough time. Child photography can be done at any age but I highly recommend 6 months old or 1 year and up.
At 6 months your precious one is learning to sit up, is smiling, laughing and naturally very inquisitive while still being less mobile. 1 year is the perfect time to capture the magic of your child reaching a special milestone.
Adult Portraits
Whether you want to capture a special milestone like turning 18, 21 or 30, losing weight or just the fact that you’re fabulous; a personalised, professional photography session can fulfill that. Documenting special moments and milestones in your life is important so in order to do it right this takes time.
An adult portrait session usually takes between 2-3 hours allowing you the time you need to relax and enjoy yourself without worrying about time constraints.
Family Portraits
Some people find the prospect of trying to photograph a whole family quite daunting; this is why I love the challenge of family portraits. A relaxed and fun session in a comfortable setting is essential to getting those flattering shots so I find these are usually best done outdoors in a place your family love to visit and explore.
This gives children the chance for time out from in front of the camera to go explore and Mum and Dad a chance for some one on one time to capture beautiful couple shots.
