Hi my name is Sian and the owner and swim teacher of Siandipity Swim School. I am a STA level 2 qualified swim teacher and have been teaching for the past 4 years. My love of swimming started at a very young age and progressed onto swimming with a coach at the age of 7. I swam for my county for many years and progressed onto waterpolo, beach lifesaving and now my latest sporting craze Triathlons. Swimming has taken me many places and taught me discipline and valuable life saving skills along the way. At Siandipity Swim School the class ratio is 2 children to 1 teacher. I believe in this environment the children are able to concentrate better, allowing for more skills and swim time in the 30min lesson which shows quicker progression for the child. As the teacher I am able to give more 1-2-1 attention to the children in the swim lessons which gives the child more confidence and the feeling of safety.
Hello! Can anyone recommend any local swimming lessons for babies? I've heard some classes are repetitive, and people in those classes have found the first useful but all subsequent ones a little pointless. :) thanks in advance :D
