  Is there anyone in this group who could tell my the best and most reliable way to get in contact with the Daughters of the Republic of Texas? I have gone through the website and sent an email to a chapter close to me, but never heard back. My mother and I have been working on our family genealogy and believe we have found two different direct family lines that would qualify us for membership. This is something both of us would like to pursue, but we would also like to speak to someone and just get more information. Any help that someone could provide would be greatly appreciated.
