Hello WIC ...My husband has been suffering with chronic shoulder pain for many years. After having 4 cortisone shots in each shoulder in the last 16 months, which only gave him temporary relief, he was referred to a surgeon . We saw Dr Richard Knight. He requested an MRI which was subsequently done . We just went to see Dr Knight today and my husband was basically told there was nothing that could be done for him .. that he pretty much just " has to live with the pain" . He offered no solutions to his problem , no medications ...Just live with it .He says my husband is not a candidate for surgery or lavage. Any thoughts on this particular Dr ? And any recommendations for a second opinion.? I find it appalling that a patient suffering with ongoing pain that affects his sleep and everyday activities would just be told ...Nothing can be done , live with it . Help !FYI ...The MRI showed a calcium deposit which is causing the pain but as it is under 1 cm it cannot be treated with lavage. The calcium deposit he has is 7 mm
